Mission Statement - Office of the Dean of Students
The Office of the Dean of Students provides students with services and co-curricular opportunities that support the academic mission of the institution. Programs and services are designed to facilitate intellectual development and critical thinking; to nurture a positive sense of identity and understanding of an individual's responsibility toward society; to encourage mature interpersonal relationships including and awareness and openness to people from diverse ethnic, cultural, and social backgrounds; and to promote the critical assessment of personal values.
The Office of the Dean of Student accomplishes this mission by:
- Serving as advocates on behalf of students.
- Valuing diversity and service to others.
- Educating the whole person through co-curricular learning experiences.
- Excelling in the delivery of programs and services to students.
- Helping student by reducing barriers to their success.
